At Foot Foundation we carry many styles of footwear for men and women from Biotime, a division of National Shoe Specialties Limited. National Shoe began business in 1972 with the purpose of “supplying raw materials to the footwear trade” (National Shoe Specialties Limited, 2015). As a company with over 40 years of experience, they pride themselves on providing service that extends far beyond a simple pair of shoes. Currently, National Shoe is the largest distributor in Canada to provide nationwide comfort, care, and orthopedic solutions.

In 2008, Biotime was introduced by National Shoe. The purpose was to develop a line of premium, fashionable footwear that offered orthopedic comfort and support for customers. Today, Biotime offers stylish footwear for men and women including sandals, boots, slippers and shoes. High-quality materials are used to not only promote a stable fit for Biotime’s footwear, but to also assist in the prevention and minimization of discomfort that can be experienced. These discomforts can be a result of diabetic foot problems, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel pain, post-surgical healing, and other medically-related foot conditions.

Biotime footwear offers multiple features like: removable cork footbeds to accommodate orthotics, PU outsoles for long lasting durability and traction, hand stitched construction as well as multiple closure systems that make our footwear extremely comfortable and accommodating.
